Biddulph High School places great emphasis on homework which is regularly set and marked. Students in Year 9 should expect approximately one hour of homework every evening, gradually increasing to up to fifteen hours per week in the Sixth Form. Homework is an opportunity for a student to develop independent study skills and self-reliance, both of which are invaluable when studying for GCSE and A-Level.

The table below outlines the number of pieces of homework that students in each year group can expect to receive. This may fluctuate at different times of the year, such as when Controlled Assessments or examinations are taking place, but should provide a useful guide.
